Aloha from the beautiful Wai'anae Coast on the island of Oʻahu in Hawaiʻi. We are the largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) on the island of Oʻahu. In 2024, we served more than 36,000 patients, with over 198,000 visits through our seven service sites. Improving care to the community means continued integration of primary care, behavioral health, nutrition, dental care, vision care, diagnostic services and pharmacy within the same clinic.
Our commitment of caring for and serving our community has continued to grow since our humble beginnings in 1972 when just one doctor and a staff of five began delivering services from a temporary location in the heart of Wai'anae. Today, along with our main clinic in Wai'anae, we have satellite clinics at the Wai'anae Mall, Tamura Super Market, Nānākuli, Kapolei, Ewa, and Waipahu, and six school-based health clinics at Wai'anae High School, Wai'anae Intermediate School, Wai'anae Elementary School, Kamaile Academy Public Charter School, Nānākuli High & Intermediate School, and Nānāikapono Elementary School.
Long ago, we recognized that addressing the needs of the community needed to go well beyond just providing medical care. As a healthcare home, WCCHC believes job training and job development are also crucial to the health of our community. We offer residency programs for future family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, psychologists and pediatric dentists. We also partnered with A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine to educate medical students and graduated 103 physicians since 2011.
